A neglected bridge on I-65 collapsed and the resulting detour route led to several fatal crashes in the first week alone. With two thousand other bridges in Indiana in the same state of disrepair, Governor Mike Pence was refusing to invest money into repairs. We launched a campaign targeted to voters along I-65 and the detour route. Less than a month later, the Governor changed his position and announced $1 billion in new road funding.
